Again for Amarillo: Brendan West

It didn’t take long for the Bulls to realize the potential of Brendan West during the 2018-2019 season, as the team traded with Minnesota for the 5’8, Plymouth, Michigan native after just two games. The payoff for the Bulls was immediate, as West became a standout during his rookie season.

Now, as his second season in Amarillo will soon get underway, the left-handed West in hungry to build upon his offensive success during his 52 games in a Bulls sweater.

Scoring his first goal in a 5-2 home win over Topeka on September 29, 2018, West found his groove and would tally 10 more goals over the remainder of the regular season. He wasn’t afraid to provide a helping hand, as he assisted on an additional 14 goals to bring his point total to 25 on the season.

A +18 rating showed the impact the West made while on the ice, and he spent little time off of it, as he was one of the most disciplined Bulls, totaling just 16 PIMs all season.

West recorded 3 helpers through 13 playoff games in 2019 and will look to get another chance to add to his postseason totals during the 2019-2020 campaign.
