Weekly Release-South Division Final Resumes Thursday

AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls look to climb back into the South Division Final against the Topeka RoadRunners when the series resumes later this week.

The third game of the Best-Of-Five series is set for Thursday at 7 pm at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena with Game 4 scheduled for Friday also at 7 pm. If a fifth and deciding game is needed, it would be back in Amarillo on Monday, Apr. 28 at 7 pm.

The Amarillo Bulls dropped the first two games of the series 3-2 on Friday and 3-1 on Saturday night.

WATCH PARTY: We will announce details in the coming days of a Bulls Watch Party so our fans can watch game 3 of the South Division Final.

BROADCAST OPTIONS: Fans can tune into the action on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com or watch on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with Prelude To The Playoffs Presented By Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm from Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. Denis J. Puska brings you the hard hitting action at 7 pm.

BULLS NEXT @ HOME: If a fifth and deciding game is necessary, it would be played on Monday night at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. Ticket prices will be announced once it is known whether or not the game is needed.

SEASON TICKET DEADLINE EXTENDED: The Amarillo Bulls have extended their 5th anniversary Season Ticket Deadline until Monday, May 26. Fans still have time to purchase or renew their Season Tickets and save over $100 if they purchased that same seat on game day. 30 DAYS OF HOCKEY: When you renew or purchase Season Ticket you are automatically entered into the 30 Days of Hockey. Draws are made Monday through Friday at 5 pm and fans can win great prizes.

SOUTH DIVISION FINAL RECAP:

GAME 1 -TOPEKA ROADRUNNERS 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 2: All five goals were scored in the first 26:18 of play. After trailing 1-0 in the first period, Roman Ammirato scored both goals to give the home side a 2-1 lead. Tyler Gernhofer assisted on both goals. Topeka scored late in the first and took the lead early in the middle stanza. Despite playing well Paul Berrafato took the loss in goal stopping a huge breakaway opportunity from a RoadRunners’ forward.

GAME 2 – TOPEKA ROADUNNERS 3 – AMARILLO BULLS 1: Brendan Vetter gave the Bulls a 1-0 lead 26 seconds into the contest. That lead help up for nearly 40 minutes when Topeka tied the game on the power play. The Bulls surrendered the lead midway through the third period. Despite a furious rally to tie the game, the Bulls were unsuccessful in getting the puck across the goal line. Collin Delia had a strong game in goal making some key saves through the contest.
