AMARILLO, TX – It was a weekend that the Amarillo Bulls would rather forget. The Bulls dropped 7-2 and 6-1 decisions at the hands of the hard charging Lone Star Brahmas in North Richland Hills over the weekend.
For the first time in three weekends, the Bulls are back on home ice when they host the Corpus Christi IceRays at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The games are set for Friday and Saturday with puck drop at 7 pm.
Here is a look at the week ahead:
RADIO SHOW ON AIR TONIGHT: The Amarillo Bulls Radio Show hits the airwaves tonight at 6 pm at Seven Grill & Bar located on Soncy Road in Amarillo. Host Denis J.Puska is joined by Head Coach Matt Nicholson, Assistant Tony Attanucci as well as two players Keenan Sabatini and Jake Houston. UPCOMING APPEARANCES: Players will make the first of several appearances (5:30 to 7:30 pm) at the Don Harrington Discovery Center Family Science Nights. It’s an opportunity to mingle with the students and hand out free tickets to this weekend’s games. The Bulls will be at the Discovery Center several times this season during these events.
BULLS AT HOME THIS WEEKEND
FRIDAY, OCT. 16 VS CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS, 7PM: Friday is Family Fun Night sponsored by Plains Dairy and one lucky fan could win Milk For A Year. There are two great ticket promotions including Four Tickets, Four Hotdogs and Four Sodas for $44 or Two Tickets, Two Hotdogs and Two Sodas for $22. These packages are only available at the Bulls Office only.
SATURDAY, OCT. 17 VS CORPUS CHRISTI ICERAYS 7 PM: Saturday is Pink In The Rink Presented By Harrington Breast Center. The first 500 fans will receive a pink t-shirt. There will be plenty of activities and booths on the concourse prior to the game.

LONE STAR BRAHMAS 7 – AMARILLO BULLS 2: It was a close game through 40 minutes of play as the Bulls held tough with the Lone Star Brahmas at 3-2. But four unanswered goals by the home team put the game on ice. Scoring for Amarillo were Keenan Sabatini and Johan Lundgren. Picking up helpers were Michael Forman, George Mika and Liam Ferguson. Anton Martinsson took the loss in goal.
LONE STAR BRAHMAS 6 – AMARILLO BULLS 1: The same story as Friday night for the Bulls as they trailed at one point 2-1 only to see the Brahmas pull away in the second period. Jake Houston scored on the power play from Nicholas Bohatiuk. Jacob Weatherly had the loss in goal.
