THE SERIES: It’s the 7th and 8th meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The two teams will meet two more times in a couple of weeks at Kay Yeager Coliseum. That will service as the final confrontations of the regular season. The Bulls have won one of the previous six games, while losing four others in overtime including back-to-back at home in October.

WHAT’S AT STAKE: The Bulls find themselves 10 points back of the fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division. Amarillo trails Corpus Christi by seven wins and the Icerays have two games in hand. The Wichita Falls Wildcats are feeling the heat on their 2nd place lead, with just a three point cushion on the Shreveport Mudbugs and a six point advantage on the IceRays.

ACROSS THE SOUTH THIS WEEKEND: Lots going on as all seven South Division teams will see action. The first place Lone Star Brahmas entertain the Shreveport Mudbugs at NYTEX Sports Center, and Odessa Jackalopes visit the Corpus Christi IceRays at American Bank Center. The Topeka RoadRunners venture out of the South to face their rival Springfield Jr. Blues that are currently in a playoff fight with the defending national champion Fairbanks IceDogs in the Midwest Division.
