Weekend Preview-Bulls Host Rays Saturday and Sunday

PROMOTIONS: Saturday is the first Scout Night of the Year and it’s also the Kids Zone with B’s Bouncers and Seven Grill and Bar Bike Giveaway. Sunday is Faith and Family Night sponsored by Jimmy Fincher Body Shop. There will be $1 hotdogs available. Troop and Pack leaders can book their Scout tickets for $10 and $12 respectively and get the newly designed Scout Patch for $1.

THE SERIES: It’s the first match-ups of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Corpus Christi IceRays. The two teams will see each other a total of 12 times including four during the month of October.

BULLS NOTES: Forward Jon Russell has been helping out offensively lately. In fact the Traverse City Michigan native has four goals in his last three games and overall six points to lead the team. The Amarillo Bulls are one of two teams to have netted the game’s first goal in every contest this weekend. The Bulls are seven for seven while the Philadelphia Rebels are six for six. The Bulls have evenly distributed their offense this season with eight goals scored in the first followed by seven in the second and another seven in the third.

ACROSS THE SOUTH: There is plenty of action going on in the South Division this weekend. The Odessa Jackalopes finally open up their home portion of their schedule at Ector County Coliseum when they entertain the Shreveport Mudbugs on Friday and Saturday. Meantime at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena the Topeka Road Runners host the Lone Star Brahmas.
