THE SERIES: This is the first of eight meetings this season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Bulls won the season series 6-2 last season, including three out of four in the Texas Panhandle.
SIX OF A KIND: The Amarillo Bulls and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees have something in common, welcoming back just six returning players each to the line-up from a year ago. The Bulls have three defenseman and three forwards back, while Rio Grande Valley has one goaltender, one defenseman and four forwards.
NAHL SHOWCASE RECAP: The Amarillo Bulls finished with a record of 2-1-1 at the NAHL Showcase notching wins over the Wenatchee Wild 5-2 and the Springfield Jr. Blues 3-2. The Bulls dropped a 4-3 overtime decision to Kenai River and had a 5-2 loss to Fairbanks. The Killer Bees were 1-3-0 at the event with their lone win coming over the defending National Champions Fairbanks Ice Dogs 5-2.
