Two Former Dallas Stars in Amarillo To Teach Learn To Play on Saturday morning

AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Hockey Association will have two special guests tomorrow (Saturday) morning at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.

Two former Dallas Stars Bob Bassen and Brad Lukowich will be teaching in the Learn-To-Play program starting at 8:45 am to 10:45 am.

Bassen is in his eighth year work in the Stars front office, spending the last six years as Director of Alumni. After retiring from his 17 year NHL career as a player, Bassen was named the Assistant coach of the Dallas Stars affiliate Utah Grizzlies, where he stayed for three seasons. Bassen then returned to Dallas to take over his current position as Director of Alumni for the newly formed Dallas Stars Alumni Association.

Brad Lukowich is a former 16 year NHL Defenseman. Brad has won the Stanley Cup twice in his career, with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. He is no stranger to the Texas Panhandle having played for the former Fort Worth Brahmas in the former Central Hockey League against the Amarillo Bulls.
