PROMOTIONS: Friday is Star Wars Night that is co-sponsored by News Channel 10 and 806 Sports. Fans are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Star Wars costume and there will be a costume contest during the 2nd intermission.

Saturday is Suddenlink Night and Disney Characters will be in attendance for fans to get their pictures with. It’s also Scout Night with various troops in attendance from across the Texas Panhandle.

TICKETS: Fans can pick up tickets, including the $5 section, at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk or by calling 242-1122. Tickets can also be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets including United Supermarkets or online at www.panhandletickets.com.

BROADCAST OPTIONS: Fans can tune into the action live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey, beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 6:40 pm. Amarillo Bulls hockey presented by Westgate Mall follows at 7 pm.

THE SERIES: It’s the ninth and 10 meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Bulls have dropped seven of eight meetings with their lone win coming on New Years’ Eve. All of the games have been decided by two goals or more with many having big 2nd period outbursts. Forwards Cody Gylling and Will Harrison each have four goals and three assists for seven points. Luke Novak has chipped in three goals and three assists for six points. Nick Farmer leads all Wildcats’ with 13 points (seven goals and six assists), while Kevin Charyszyn and Max Reisinger each have six goals. Goaltender David Zevnik is unbeaten with four victories and a goals against average of 2.48.

          PLAYOFF UPDATE: The South Division playoff picture continues to be tight among three teams battling for two positions. The Bulls trail the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees by five points for the sixth and final playoff and the Wenatchee Wild for fifth place. The Killer Bees visit the Corpus Christi IceRays this weekend while the Wild take on the Odessa Jackalopes.

          BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls have won five consecutive Saturday games in a row dating back to January 10th in Rio Grande Valley. In four of the five games the Bulls scored four goals or more and had an average margin of victory of two. The Bulls have won 10 times when outshooting their opponent.

          CAT TRAX: Twenty four of the 31 wins for the Wichita Falls Wildcats have come when they have scored first. The Wildcats have trailed just 11 times this season going into the third period (0-5 on the road). Goaltender Austin Shaw has notched eight of the team’s 10 road wins while forward Kevin Charyszyn has produced 11 goals. Forward Colin Staub has collected five points in his last five games.
