AMARILLO, TX – Amarillo Bulls Alumni continue to be productive for their respective NCAA hockey teams as action continued after the Christmas Break.
Forward Greg Gibson scored a big goal for Robert Morris in a 4-1 win over Army at West Point. The two teams split their games over the weekend. That match-up featured Gibson facing his former teammates Joe Kozlak and Luke Jenkins, who were in the line-up, for Army.
It’s been an exciting last couple of weeks for Gibson who had two points for Robert Morris at the recent Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh. Gibson notched an assist in a 6-0 win over Penn State, and then set up the game winner in a 1-0 upset over highly ranked Miami of Ohio. Gibson has two goals and two assists for the Colonials thus far this season.
Two more Bulls Alumni went at it as Army faced Canisius and forward Cody Freeman. It was Joe Kozlak getting the better of it as he posted the game winner in overtime to lift Army to a 1-0 victory. Freeman has notched two goals and two assists for the Golden Griffins. Kozlak had another goal and an assist on December 30th in a 6-2 loss for Army to the Russian Red Stars.
In Division III, forward Mike Erickson has earned an assist while playing for Williams College. Meantime goaltender Mike Taffe started in goal for Utica in a recent 6-2 win over Salve Regina.
