AMARILLO, TX – It became one of the best rivalries in the North American Hockey League last season and tonight (Friday) it renews for the first of eight regular season tilts. The Amarillo Bulls entertain the Topeka RoadRunners at 7 pm at The Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.
The two teams met for a total of 20 times last year, which included exhibition, regular season and the playoffs. The RoadRunners had the advantage in the regular season, but the Bulls came through when it was the most important in the playoffs with four wins in six meetings.
It’s First Responders’ Night sponsored by Amarillo Medical Services. The first 200 fans to Customer Relations will receive an AMS/Bulls Sports Bottle. There will also be a special tug-o-war during the second intermission.
Tonight’s game begins a two game home stand for the Bulls that continues tomorrow night with a game against the Wichita Falls Wildcats also at 7 pm. Game Truck/Brandon Coats is sponsoring the night and the first 200 fans at Customer Relations will receive a Game Truck/Bulls Stress Puck.
These two games are not to be missed and should provide plenty of excitement for fans from the opening face-off until the final horn.
