Bulls Weekly Release-Seven Game Winning Streak

AMARILLO – A productive home stand came to an end for the Amarillo Bulls this past weekend. The Bulls concluded a nine game stretch at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center by posting a record of 7-1-1 and putting their South Division lead at 10 points over the Topeka RoadRunners, and 11 points over third place Wichita Falls Wildcats and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. This weekend the Bulls head on the road to face the Wichita Falls Wildcats on Friday and Saturday night at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

 

 

STREAKS AND STATS: In the seven-game winning streak, the Amarillo Bulls outscored their opponents 28-11. In one stretch, the defending Robertson Cup Champions averaged six goals in three consecutive games. Brady Ferguson, Mike Davis and Roman Ammirato have combined for 15 goals for the Bulls in the last 10 games. The Bulls are 15-2-1 at home this season

FRIDAY, SATURDAY, JAN. 17-18 @ WICHITA FALLS WILDCATS – 7 PM: It’s the fifth and sixth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Bulls won the only other two match-ups at Kay Yeager Coliseum way back in October. Wichita Falls took three out of a possible four points against the Bulls on the weekend prior to Christmas.

BULLS REWIND:

AMARILLO BULLS 1 – ODESSA JACKALOPES 0: Roman Ammirato scored midway through overtime to lift the Bulls past the Jackalopes 1-0 in overtime. Collin Delia stopped all 15 shots for his fifth shutout of the season.

 

AMARILLO BULLS 4 – RIO GRANDE VALLEY 2: Four goals in the second period pushed the Bulls past the Killer Bees 4-2. Mike Davis netted two goals and added two assists, while Tyler Gernhofer had the other two goals. Goaltender Paul Berrafato earned the win in goal.

 

AMARILLO 3 – RIO GRANDE VALLEY 1: Roman Ammirato scored the game winner in the third period that snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Bulls a well deserved win to delight a large crowd. Kyle Gattelaro in the second period, and Brady Ferguson into an empty net had the other goals. Collin Delia notched the win between the pipes.
