Bulls Visit Wichita Falls On Saturday Night

AMARILLO, TX – After a long layoff, the Amarillo Bulls return to action this Saturday when they visit the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm, at Kay Yeager Coliseum.

          It will have been 13 days between North American Hockey League games for the Bulls, who will be heading into the contest riding a four game winning streak. The Wildcats have dropped two of their last three games, but have won three in a row on home ice.

          The third place Bulls and the second place Wildcats are separated by five points in the South Division standings, but Amarillo has five games in hand. The Bulls also have four games in hand on the first place Texas Tornado.

          The last time the Bulls and the Wildcats hooked up was in the Texas Panhandle, where Amarillo rallied with four goals in the third period to beat Wichita Falls 5-3. The two teams had met only one other time and that was in Wichita Falls where the Bulls were narrowly defeated 3-2 in a shootout.

          The Bulls and the Wildcats are ranked in the top 10 in the NAHL in both goals for and goals against. Wichita Falls is among the top teams in the league in Shots on Goal, averaging nearly 35 per game.

          Hockey is back in The Bull Pen at the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 19, and Saturday, Nov. 20, when the Bulls host the Wichita Falls Wildcats in back-to-back match-ups at 7pm. On Friday the Bulls mascot will be unveiled for the first time as will be joined by several of his fellow mascots from across the area. The Corvette Club will also be displaying several of its cars on the concourse that night.
