Bulls Visit Topeka For Fifth & Deciding Game Tonight

TOPEKA, KS – It’s a one game winner take all showdown tonight as the Amarillo Bulls visit the Topeka RoadRunners in the fifth and deciding game of the Robertson Cup North American Hockey League’s South Division final. Face-off is set for 7 pm at Kansas Expo Center-Landon Arena.

There will be a watch party for fans to enjoy the game at Joe Taco located at 7312 Wallace Boulevard near Coulter and the Medical District.  The party that includes a raffle begins at 6:30 pm.

The first four games of the series were decided by two goals or less and featured spirited play between the two teams. Topeka has taken games 1 and 3, while the Bulls won games 2 and 4, including a 4-2 triumph this past Friday night. The penalty killing for both teams has been outstanding yielding a combined eight power play goals (four each) in the series.

Goaltenders Nikifor Szczerba of Amarillo and Rasmus Tirronen of Topeka have been outstanding. Szczerba has made 140 saves, while Tirronen has turned aside 105 shots.
