Members of the Amarillo Bulls Hockey team are partnering with Children’s Miracle Network to visit Pediatric patients on Wednesday, December 16th beginning at 1:00pm. The group will begin the afternoon visiting patients at Northwest Texas Hospital and then make a stop at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital to bring some Holiday cheer to the communities littlest patients.
Jodi Reid, Program Director for Children’s Miracle Network – Amarillo Affiliate says, “we are happy to partner with the Bulls to help make the day brighter for Pediatric patients at both hospitals”. She goes on to say that “anytime we can help kids in the hospital forget, for just a minute, all that they are enduring we are happy to do it.” “These kids are in the hospital for a variety of medical reasons and visits like this are a welcome distraction for them and their family.”
“We feel humbled and honored to work with Children’s Miracle Network on this project,” said Bulls Vice President and General Manager Rick Matchett. “Our players and Team Mascot, Rampage, really enjoy this time of year and having the chance to meet local kids and their families and to bring smiles to their faces. These kids and families are such an inspiration to all of us because of their situation and they make us feel so special and uplifted to be around. We cherish this time with them.”
