AMARILLO, TX – Amarillo Bulls fans got a sneak peak recently of the team’s latest tender signing for next season.
Bobby Kaiser was one of two players from the Honeybaked Under 18 AAA that were called up to the Bulls as Affiliated Players just prior to Christmas, and he made an immediate lasting impression with both the fans as well as the players and coaching staff.
The Bulls announced today (Thursday) that they have tendered Kaiser for the 2015-16 season joining Charlie Singerhouse Matt Nehls, Brycon Johnson and Patrick Choi.
Kaiser played in the December 19th contest and had nearly a regular shift. He certainly helped the Bulls during a period when they were short-staffed due to illness and injury. In 17 games for Honeybaked of the High Performance Hockey League this season, the Michigan native has two goals and four assists for six points.
“Bobby is just a good all around hockey player that works hard at both ends of the ice,” said Director of Scouting Erik Blaise. “I think his offensive game has lots of room to grow.”
Blaise said there is an excellent upside for Kaiser and what he can bring to the program in the future as he gets stronger and older.
“We're projecting Bobby as someone who can play some solid minutes at the start,” he said. “Bobby is probably going to be a player who, as his game develops, becomes a big part of our offense.”
It’s back on the road this weekend for the Amarillo Bulls as they visit the Odessa Jackalopes tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday at Ector County Coliseum. The face-off for both games are set for 7 pm. Fans can listen live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com powered by UStream and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey.
