Bulls Tender Forward Aaron Swanson

press-releaseAMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls continued to add more offensive fire power to their line-up today (Tuesday) by announcing the tendering of Forward Aaron Swanson of the Madison Capitols U18 of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL).

Swanson, a native of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, netted nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 22 games. Prior to that Swanson a 5-9, 161 pound power forward had 32 points in 43 games with the Capitols U16 program.

“It’s awesome to join the Amarillo Bulls organization,” Swanson said. “I’m really excited at this opportunity. It’s definitely the place I want to play next year and I’m really looking forward to see what happens with the Bulls.”

Swanson visited Amarillo towards the end of the 2016-17 NAHL regular season where he took part in team practices. He said that trip to the Texas Panhandle gave him a better feel for the organization.

“It was nice to get down to Amarillo and meet some of the returning guys for next season and the coaches,” he said. “It was great to get a better comfort level and a nice taste for it.

“Watching some of the NAHL games got me excited. They were fast paced and it’s done professional down there. It definitely got me super excited for what’s ahead.”

Swanson thinks that his fast tempo style of hockey will be a great fit for the Bulls.

“I think I can bring a fast and smart game to Amarillo,” he said. “I try to make a bunch of offensive plays, but I also have a good defensive structure as well.”

Aaron Swanson joins Alex Cathcart, Michael McInerney, Brendan Furry, Brendan Datema, Tanner Palocsik and Jakob Hanthorn as players announced as tendered for the Amarillo Bulls for the 2017-18 season.
