AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls defensive corps featured a lot of size and strength this past season and that isn’t expected to change heading into the 2017-18 campaign following the latest tender signing.
The Bulls announced today (Friday) they have inked Noah Kiemel to a tender for the upcoming season. Fans got a good glimpse at Kiemel during the 2016-17 season when he appeared in four games and played with poise and passion of a much older and more mature player.
“I think the games with Amarillo helped me get ready for the speed and physicality that the game takes at the next level,” he said. “It certainly helped me with my 18U team and being the best player on the ice at all times. I’ve been able to adjust to a more faster physical game. I’ve learned how to make quicker decisions and have gotten overall quicker with my game.”
Kiemel, who is 6-5 and weighs 185, spent the past season with the Rocky Mountain Roughriders of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) where he posted two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 22 games.
Kiemel is thrilled to be a member of the Bulls team and can’t wait until the season.
“It was a big decision for me and my family when we tendered with the Bulls and it’s been great so far,” Kiemel said. “I’ve loved being able to come down to Amarillo and spend time with the team. Coach Matt (Nicholson) and Coach Tony (Attanucci) are nice guys who know the game well. The community of Amarillo was very warm and inviting when I went down there to visit.”
Kiemel said he’s heard nothing but great things about the South Division.
“Everyone who knows about the NAHL, understands how good of a league it is, and how every night you are going to play a good team,” he said.
Noah Kiemel, joins Jason Brancheau, Luke Larbes, Aaron Swanson, Alex Cathcart, Michael McInerney, Brendan Furry, Brendan Datema, Tanner Palocsik and Jakob Hanthorn as players announced as tendered for the Amarillo Bulls for the 2017-18 season.
