AMARILLO, TX – The Amarillo Bulls along with their fellow North American Hockey League teams are working together throughout the month of November in support of men’s health.
The Movember campaign began at the first of this month and all Bulls players, coaching staff took the pledge not to shave. Fans are encouraged to donate by visiting the Amarillo Bulls website and clicking the Movember link on the left hand side of the page.
The Movember foundation is the leading global organization committed to changing the face of men’s health. Movember achieves this by challenging men to grow mustaches during the month to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health problems.
There have been 4,027,688 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas since 2003 and $559 million raised since 2003. There have been a total of 770 men’s health projects funded since 2003.
A seven game road stretch begins for the Amarillo Bulls tomorrow (Friday) night against the Lone Star Brahmas at NYTEX Center in North Richland Hills, TX. Fans can tune into the game live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV courtesy of Fast Hockey beginning with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show at 7:15 pm. Amarillo Bulls Hockey Presented By Westgate Mall follows at 7:30 pm.
Hockey returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 19 and Saturday, Dec. 20 when the Amarillo Bulls host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7 pm. Saturday is Toys For Tots Night and fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game. When the Bulls score their first goal, fans can throw the toys onto the ice in support of the great cause.
