Bulls Main Camp Underway in Michigan

BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN – The 2013 Robertson Cup National Champion Amarillo Bulls Main Camp is well underway in Brighton, Michigan.

The Bulls Coaching Staff will be making some cuts tonight (Friday) to 80 players and then a further reduction to between 36 and 40 players by Saturday morning.

“I am somewhat satisfied with camp so far,” said Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams on Friday afternoon. “We need to see more out of some of the players, and it’s taken the new faces a little longer to get into the swing of things.”

The first three years of the Amarillo Bulls win 128 regular season games and have more than 30 NCAA College Commitments. The Bulls had identical records the last two seasons of 46-7-7 that gave them two straight NAHL Overall Regular Season Titles. This past season saw the Bulls capture their first Robertson Cup NAHL Championship Trophy.

Williams said the expectations are high within the organization that they want to see the best out of the players.

“It’s been a tough camp because we go for five days while other teams just do it in three,” he explained. “Some players are beaten up physically and tired this time of year. This is a chance to see the future Amarillo Bulls in the making.”
