Bulls Look For Two Wins Tonight Versus Topeka

TOPEKA, KS – The Amarillo Bulls will try to solidify their hold on second place in the North American Hockey League’s South Division when they meet the Topeka RoadRunners tonight at 7 pm at the Kansas Expo Center-Landon Arena.

The Bulls moved into second with another huge comeback win, 3-2, over the Topeka RoadRunners on Saturday night. The Corpus Christi Ice Rays gave the Bulls a little help in the standings by beating the Wichita Falls Wildcats 4-2. It was the Bulls fourth come-from-behind win of the season and 15th in total on the season. Amarillo’s .775 winning percentage is still the best in the North American Hockey League.

Cody Freeman and Ricky DeRosa lead the Bulls in the month of November in points and in shots on goal. The two have 12 points and 31 shots on goal combined. Luke Jenkins and Zack Smoot are each at plus four.

Fans can tune into tonight’s game live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com fueled by Sportsjuice beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show Presented by Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm. Denis J. Puska has all of the play-by-play action at 7 pm. The game is also available on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the game.

The Amarillo Bulls return to home ice on Friday, Dec. 17 when they host the Texas Tornado at 7 pm at The Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. The Teddy Bear Toss and a Christmas Jersey auction highlight activities during that game. Fans can bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game and when the Bulls score their first goal,  throw the toys onto the ice. The toys will be collected and given to charity. The Bulls will wear their Christmas Jerseys and an auction follows in The Corral immediately after the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Amarillo Youth Hockey
