AMARILLO, TX – Playoff hockey and tailgating…
That winning combination will be at the Amarillo Civic Center tonight (Thursday) as the Amarillo Bulls host the Texas Tornado in the opening game of the Best-of-Five South Division Semi-Final Series at 7 pm.
There will be a tailgate party, beginning at 5:45 pm with free beer, BBQ and live music from the band Five Floors Above. This event is sure to get the fans fired up before puck drop. When the doors open at 6 p.m., the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free Red Playoff Rally Towel.
Once the puck drops, its game on as one of the best rivalries in the North American Hockey League this season go head-to-head in the post season. Amarillo and Texas have played eight exciting games during the regular season and if that is any indication then the playoffs should be more of the same.
Tickets for tonight’s game and tomorrow second playoff match-up are available by calling the Bulls office at 806-242-1122 or visit 901 South Buchanan. Additional ticketing options include all Panhandle Ticket Outlets, the Civic Center Box Office or online at www.amarillobulls.com.

ADDITIONAL GAME NOTES:
NAHL PLAYOFFS:There is only one other playoff series starting its series this evening and that’s in Missouri where the #1 seed St. Louis Bandits host the #4 seeded Janesville Jets in the first game of their North Division Semi-Final Series. Oddly enough, the Topeka RoadRunners and the Wichita Falls Wildcats won’t begin their Best-of-Five South Division Series until Saturday night and continue with the second game on Sunday.
VERY SIMILAR NUMBERS:The Amarillo Bulls and the Texas Tornado have had very similar numbers in the NAHL this season. The Tornado has scored four more goals then Amarillo, and give up seven less. Each team has won 14 one-goal games during the regular season and 23 wins when they are leading after 40 minutes of play. Another similar number is when each team scores the first goal, as they both have 22 victories.
