AMARILLO, TX – Giving back to their community is something that doesn’t stop for sports teams, and it certainly hasn’t for the Amarillo Bulls.
A long grueling road swing last week hasn’t slowed down the Bulls as they will be busy all this week with several major events including a stretch of Hockey For Health Classes to local elementary school children.
Bulls’ players and staff will teach the importance of a healthy lifestyle which includes proper nutrition, as well as being positive role models all of that while playing floor hockey with the children.
Nearly 750 students are being taught over the next few days with stops at Ridgecrest Elementary, Coronado Elementary and Glenwood Elementary.
However that’s not all, as the Bulls will also be at the Discovery Center for two appearances tonight (Tuesday) with San Jacinto Elementary and then Oakdale Elementary on Thursday.
While all of this is taking place, the Bulls will also be fine tuning things in practice this week getting ready to launch a four game home stand, their final one of the regular season, this Friday at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.
The home stand faces off with two against the second place Topeka RoadRunners on Friday and Saturday night at 7 pm.
Friday is Kids Appreciation Night Presented By Unique Individuals. Fans are encouraged to get there early to pick up a free youth replica jersey available at the Main Entrance. On Saturday, its Plains Dairy Night and one lucky fan will win milk for a year.
Tickets are available at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk, Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets including United Supermarkets.
