AMARILLO, TX – It’s round three tonight of ‘Battle of The Cattle’ as the Amarillo Bulls visit the Lone Star Brahmas at NYTEX Center in North Richland Hills at 7:30 pm.
There has been a slight change to broadcast plans due to Mother Nature and Winter Storm Cleon that hit the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex with an ice storm.
The Voice of the Bulls Denis J. Puska didn’t travel with the team when they left earlier in the week for practice and due to the deteriorating travel conditions couldn’t leave for the North Richland Hills area. However, that won’t stop him from calling the game tonight and tomorrow for fans tuning in on CBS Sports Radio 1440 and www.amarillobulls.com.
Puska will broadcast the game courtesy of the Fast Hockey video feed from an undisclosed location for both games, beginning with full pregame coverage courtesy of Wayland Baptist University at 7:15 pm. The puck drop will follow. The only change will be for fans who tune in on Fast Hockey and will hear the Brahmas broadcaster providing play-by-play.
“Calling games off a television monitor is the way I began broadcasting when I was a young child at the age of 11,” said Puska. “This will certainly bring back memories of doing that. It’s not the way we wanted to handle the broadcasts for the two games but due to ice storm we felt it was the best way to do it and give our fans what they deserve.”
The 4th annual Sonic Sunday wraps up the busy weekend for the Amarillo Bulls when they entertain the Odessa Jackalopes at 6 pm. All tickets are free courtesy of Sonic and will be available starting at 4 pm on Sunday afternoon at the Main Box Office or Gate 8 Southeast Corner at the Amarillo Civic Center.
