Bulls Alumni Notebook-Freeman and Kozlak

 

AMARILLO, TX – Two Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni scored goals for their respective NCAA schools over the weekend as action continues in the second half of the season.

Forward Cody Freeman scored one of his team’s two goals as Canisius dropped a 7-2 decision to Bentley University.  It was Freeman’s third goal of the season to go along with three assists for six points. Canisius dropped a 3-2 decision the night before to Bentley in the first of the two game set.

Joe Kozlak has moved into fifth place in scoring for Army. He collected a goal and an assist over the weekend. On Friday he had an assist as Army lost 6-5 to RIT. The next day, Kozlak scored his fifth goal of the season as Army fell 4-2 to RIT. Kozlak has five goals and six assists for 11 points in 22 games. He has played in all of his club’s games this year, while defenseman Luke Jenkins has played in 21 of the 22.

Two Bulls’ Alumni went head-to-head as Robert Morris University faced American International. Brandon Lubin had an assist in American’s 5-4 loss to the Colonials. Forward Greg Gibson did not get a point in the two games.

The current Amarillo Bulls make their final regular season visit to the state of Kansas to face the Topeka RoadRunners on Friday and Saturday night at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. Fans can tune into both games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440 and www.amarillobulls.com beginning with pre-game coverage at 6:45 pm. Denis J. Puska has all of the action at 7 pm. The games are also available on Pay Per View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed internet connection is required in order to view the games.

The Amarillo Bulls are back on home ice on Friday, Feb. 1 and Saturday, Feb. 2 when they host the Texas Tornado at 7 pm.
