BOSTON, MASS – It’s a special time for any hockey player to hit the ice on a unique or historic ice surface. For Amarillo Bulls’ Alumni they have an opportunity to play on the ice at Fenway Park in Boston.
In a battle of former South Division teammates, Brooks Behling and Providence College will play the late game tonight (Saturday) as they take on Merrimack College who are led by Hampus and John Gustafsson.
It’s not the first time that Alumni have played at Fenway Park as Tyler Deresky and Bentley along with Holly Cross and Karl Beckman hit the ice last week.
TJ Sarcona who plays for Niagara University recently played outdoors in Rochester NY as part of festivities associated with an American Hockey League outdoor game.
Amarillo Bulls Alumni were busy in NCAA Action last night, but did not figure into the scoring. Due to weather conditions in the Northeast the lone game that was postponed featured Trinity College and Becker. The Bulls Alumni NCAA teams posted a record of 3-1-2 in their games on Friday night.
The current Amarillo Bulls are in action tonight (Saturday) hosting the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7 pm at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. It’s Hockey Heritage Weekend and the Bulls are wearing special jerseys with an auction to follow immediately after the game. Proceeds of the auction will benefit Amarillo Youth hockey.
