2nd Bulls Camp Hits Ice In Colorado Springs

AMARILLO, TX – A second Amarillo Bulls camp faces off this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

More than 70 prospective players are expected to take part at the Western Region Invite Camp at the Colorado Sports Center. Bulls Head Coach Jon Rogger is looking forward to welcoming those players looking for a spot at Main Camp.

“This is our first camp since the Pre-Draft Camp in Philadelphia,” he said. “There are a lot of Colorado players attending and we wanted to do our best to bring the camp especially to those players, who can’t make it out East due to distance. From this camp, we hope to bring 15 or 20 players to our Main Camp in Michigan at the end of July.”

The Camp begins with a goaltender clinic and then the players will be divided up into teams to start playing games throughout the weekend, concluding on Sunday night.

Meantime, Coach Rogger has been busy travelling and visiting United States Hockey League Main Camps including the expansion Bloomington Thunder and former Bulls Head Coach Dennis Williams.

“I spent a lot of time on the road visiting Green Bay, Chicago and Bloomington,” Rogger said. “Coach Williams had a lot of our veterans taking part  as well as a couple of our tendered players. It was my first opportunity to see those players in action and they all looked fantastic.”
