AMARILLO, TX – Two of the top four teams in the North American Hockey League’s South Division collide tomorrow (Friday) night at 7 pm in the Bull Pen at the Amarillo Civic Center. That’s when the first place Amarillo Bulls will host the second place Wichita Falls Wildcats.
The two teams, who are both coming off big wins last weekend, are separated by just one point in the standings. The Wildcats won the only other meeting between the two teams, 3-2, in a shootout in Wichita Falls late last month.
The Bulls have the second best record on home ice this season 5-1-1 behind the Wenatchee Wild. The Bulls have netted 18 first period goals, while Wichita Falls has scored just five. Seven of the Wildcats first 12 games have been decided by one goal, while the Bulls have had six in their first 13.
Wichita Falls has one of the Top 10 penalty killing units in the NAHL and have scored three shorthanded goals. Fast starts is something that both teams don’t have in common.
American Idol finalist Lacey Brown will be singing the National Anthem and then available to sign autographs during the game. KVII Pro News 7 will be holding an Evelyn Rivers Coat Drive prior to the game. The first 100 fans to drop off a coat will receive a free ticket to Friday’s game.
Tickets for Friday’s game are available at all Panhandle Ticket Outlets including United Supermarkets, Civic Center Box Office or online at www.amarillobulls.com. For further information regarding single game tickets, group tickets or flex packs, please call the Bulls office at 806-242-1122 or visit them at 901 South Buchanan.
